The 2026 SP Open concluded on Monday, September 21, with Luisa Stefani and Gabriela Dabrowski winning the doubles title and Kaitlin Quevedo taking the singles trophy. Both finals at Parque Villa-Lobos in São Paulo finished a day later than scheduled because of rain.
Stefani and Dabrowski defeated Americans Anna Rogers and Allura Zamarripa 6–3, 3–6, [10–7]. In the singles final, Spain's Quevedo came from behind to beat Argentina's Nadia Podoroska 4–6, 6–4, 6–2 for her first title on the main WTA Tour.
Stefani retains her title with a different partner
The back-to-back São Paulo titles belong to Stefani: the Brazilian won the 2025 event alongside Timea Babos. This year, Canada's Dabrowski joined her on the winners' podium as the partnership collected its fourth title of the 2026 season.
The doubles final resumed with Stefani and Dabrowski leading 4–3 in the opening set, the score at Sunday's suspension. They broke serve and closed out the set, but Rogers and Zamarripa responded to force a deciding match tie-break.
The official WTA statistics show a difference in how the teams used their break chances. The champions converted two of 11 opportunities; the Americans took two of six. Stefani and Dabrowski had six break points in the second set without converting one.
The match turned in the deciding tie-break. Rogers and Zamarripa led 6–4, but Stefani and Dabrowski won six of the next seven points to seal it 10–7. The champions finished with 66 points won overall, compared with 59 for the runners-up.
Quevedo's breakthrough week ends with a first WTA trophy
At 20, Quevedo completed a run that had already produced her best result on the main tour: before São Paulo, she had never reached a WTA quarterfinal. The title came in her eighth main-draw appearance at this level.
Podoroska took the opening set and led by a break in the second. Quevedo recovered that deficit, levelled the match and raced into a 5–0 lead in the decider before completing the victory 6–2.
This is the Spaniard's first WTA title, following previous successes at other levels of professional tennis. Her main-tour debut came in Auckland in January this year. The official WTA video features highlights of her final against Podoroska.
A Monday finish after Sunday's rain
The weather forced the organisers to move both finals to 11 a.m. on Monday, with singles on the Maria Esther Bueno Court and doubles on Court 1.
