Christian Harrison and Neal Skupski won the US Open men's doubles title on Saturday, September 12, defeating Kevin Krawietz and Tim Puetz 6-4, 7-6(6). The American-British team completed its New York campaign without dropping a set and claimed a second Grand Slam together, following January's Australian Open triumph.
The final on Arthur Ashe Stadium offered little room for returners. At 3-3 in the opening set, Skupski helped create a break opportunity and Harrison converted it with a down-the-line backhand winner. That advantage was enough to secure the set: it proved to be the only service break of the match.
Krawietz and Puetz saved another break point at 4-4 in the second set and took the contest to a tie-break. The Germans moved ahead 6-5, with a set point on Puetz's serve. Harrison and Skupski won the next three points; Harrison served on championship point and Skupski finished at the net to take the breaker 8-6.
The title rewards a partnership that began competing on tour in Adelaide in January. Just weeks later, at their second tour-level event together, they won the Australian Open by beating home players Jason Kubler and Marc Polmans 7-6(4), 6-4. They now finish both hard-court majors of 2026 unbeaten.
For Skupski, the victory also changes the ending to a New York story that had twice stopped at runner-up. He lost the 2022 final with Wesley Koolhof and the 2025 final with Joe Salisbury. At 36, he now holds men's doubles titles from Wimbledon, the Australian Open and the US Open; Roland Garros is the missing major.
Harrison, meanwhile, earned his second career Grand Slam title in front of his home crowd. He is the first American to win the US Open men's doubles championship since Rajeev Ram in 2023. Beating the sixth seeds completed a campaign in which the fifth-seeded champions maintained their effectiveness through the very last tie-break.
